Empowering Education for All Refugees in Malaysia

Accessible and innovative solution to those who do not have other means of education.

Driving Change

The Solution

We believe that education has the transformative power to restore hope and dignity to refugee children.

This is why we aim to provide comprehensive and accessible educational opportunities to refugee students through online K-12 classes, school leaving equivalency certification, and higher education counselling.

Bridging the Education Gap for Refugees: A 4-Point Solution

  • Online K-12 Program: Offering a comprehensive US K-12 curriculum from Pre-K to Grade 12, accessible anywhere with internet access.

  • GED Preparation: Equipping young adults for the GED test (A US high school equivalency cert), opening doors to higher education globally.

  • University Application Assistance: Providing personalized guidance and support throughout the application process.

  • Scholarship & Financial Aid Resources: Leveraging partnerships to secure funding and ensure access to higher education.

The Challenges

Refugee students have limited access to education in Malaysia because they are not given legal status.

Private schools are financially out of reach for many refugees.

  • Over half of the world's 14.8 million school-aged refugee children lack formal education.

  • The number of school-aged refugees rose by nearly 50% from 10 million to over 14.8 million by the end of 2022.

  • Approximately 51% of school-aged refugee children, over 7 million in total, lack school enrollment.

  • Refugee education enrollment varies: 38% in pre-primary, 65% in primary, 41% in secondary, and just 6% in tertiary education.
